Our famous First Player token -- custom designed to be a worthy trophy for any high end L5R collector.

Seize the Moment!

The front side is used to represent "First Player", but players are welcome to use the side they like most. The kanji lettering on the front is "ichi-go ichi-e" or literally "one time, one meeting". This is an old Japanese saying with many subtly different meanings. It is akin to "seize this moment for it will not come again" and is a rich idiom with connotations in all sorts of situations including military (battles/tactics) and political (gathering/social). The detailed 3D samurai on the front is based heavily on an amazing statue in Hioki Japan -- of samurai general Shimazu Yoshihiro.

Perseverance--

On the back we've chosen the kanji representing perseverance/patience. For people who don't want to pass such a hefty first player token, they can flip it to the secondary side when they are the 2nd player. The imposing figure on the back (reminding you to wait) is based heavily on a wonderful statue of Chosokabe Motochika which stands in Kochi city Japan.

Our First Player Trophy token is thicker than any token we make; its density and heft that will put your opponent on their back foot. It's truly unforgettable.

While the token thickness stands out, it's not too big for your precious table space-- with dimensions of 2.75" by 1.66" by 0.25" (70mm x 42mm x 6mm)
